Api Nampa Conservation Area Nepal

Api Nampa Conservation: a perfect place for wildlife lovers
With a rich flora and fauna, Nepal has a lot to protect when it comes to natural scenic beauty. The nation has been endowed with the best scenic backgrounds and an enormous number of wetlands as well. The landmass is full of diversity and hosts a variety of habitats as well. In such a scenario it is only sensible to create conservation parks and areas which in turn can protect the integrity of the entire nation’s landmass. With myriads of lakes and water bodies, Nepal offers a rich wildlife as well. In some areas of the country, especially the far western parts, you can easily witness bear and wild boars in the open.

Named after the great Mount Api, the Api Nampa Conservation area of Nepal has been recently formulated.

1-      The best part regarding this conservation area is that it is still untouched by commercialism because of lack of tourism. As there are a lesser number of tourists in this part of the far western Nepal, the scope of commercial set ups is low, and if you decide to visit this conservation area, you can visit the real Nepal equipped with the real Nepali traditions. The area is quaint and untouched thereby offering the true nature as it is.

2-      The area is full of diversity when it comes to landscape. Therefore, within the mighty mountain ranges of Api and Nampa, there is a vast grassland which is full of oak trees. This plateau also consists of coniferous trees and dense forests which in turn offer wildlife at its best.

3-      As the temperature is not stagnant and changes a lot; this has helped a lot of different varieties of animals to seek their habitat in such an environment. This variation in the climatic temperature has allowed even the rarest of the animal species to survive and thrive in there.

4-      While most of the people only dream of viewing a snow leopard or a musk deer in the open, the climatic variation between these mountain ranges and within the forests offers habitat for both the rare creatures and as a result, both the snow leopard and musk deer can be found there.

5-      As aforementioned, people have still retained their traditional lifestyle within the area as well. Without the overzealous touch of tourism, the area has been able to maintain its pristine environment with a touch of tradition and customs as well.

6-      It offers an incredible environment which has a charm of its own. Forget about the routine life in the cities and try to experience the perfect lives of these people. Surrounded by such beautiful forests, the kind of life that accommodates every life form. It is simply amazing to witness the scenario with your own eyes.

With Api Nampa Conservation area as one of the youngest areas, it has become one of the most lucrative destination as well. Although still untouched, in the coming times, the conservation area is still going to be the natural habitat of the rarest of the species.

Mahendranagar Kanchanpur  is nearest city  to this conservation area.
