Mount Saipal: The pride of the area
With an extensive mountain range, Nepal is one of those countries that offers mountain ranges of all types. From mighty Api Mountain to Nampa, Nepal has it all. And moreover, the far western parts of this country are simply breath-taking to begin with. From myriads of temples and historically important forts, the far west Nepal is a collection of chosen things that are almost compulsory to be seen by everyone. Such is the beauty of its landscape that it’s almost a shame not to visit these places. And one such place is the might Mount Saipal-

1-      Many peaks are so high that one can feel as if they are going to touch the sky. And then there are peaks which actually reside within the clouds. Mount Saipal is one such peak. This mighty mountain is located at a considerably high altitude of more than 7000 meters and stands tall with pride and honor. With its head in the sky, it is beautiful to look at. It offers a stellar view as well.

2-      Unequivocally, it is a second highest mountain range in the far west Nepal. It is like the crown jewel of the far west Nepal’s mountain range. Although second, this mountain is still the favorite among the trekkers. The mountain offers a tough but doable trek. The views during the trek to the base camp are grand and spectacular, to say the least.

3-      Have you ever bought something that you’ve liked for free?! Well, we don’t think so, but nature is more than generous. There is simply no fee or charge to trek on this mountain. It is free of cost. In the entire world, it is just not possible to avail such things for free.

4-      And please wait while we inform you about the icing on the cake. To the south-west of this mighty mountain, there is a lake that is situated at an impressive altitude of around 4300 meters above sea level. The name of the lake is Surma Sarowar.

5-      It has been seen and experienced that the lake has a lot of rejuvenating properties. The water of the lake is considered therapeutic. Many people have witnessed for themselves. People here believe that a dip in this holy water body cures or treats all the diseases associated with the skin. And there have been numerous incidents where this has been proven correct. With such a towering mountain and a healing lake in the vicinity, this place is nothing short of heaven. It is one of the most important gifts from the Almighty.

6-      In addition to this, there is an old legend as well. Tourists and trekkers have also tried bathing in the lake because according to the legend, it is said that if you take a dip, the goddess Surma is pleased and grants all your wishes. Remember the time when we told you that this place is like heaven!


Not just the trek to the mountain, the trek to the lake is also breathtaking and majestic.
